Vikram Vuppala is Founder & CEO of India’s largest dialysis network - NephroPlus. After spending 10 years in the US healthcare industry, his passion to redefine healthcare delivery in India prompted him to found NephroPlus in Dec 2009 along with Kamal Shah, a dialysis patient activist for 18+ years in India. He has expanded NephroPlus to India’s largest dialysis network of 40 centers across 12 states and continues to grow towards the plan of 150 centers by 2017 to become largest network in Asia. He had raised two rounds of angel funding, Series A Private equity investment from Bessemer Venture Partners in Nov 2011 and has recently closed Series B investment in May 2014 from IFC, a World Bank arm. Prior to NephroPlus, Vikram was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in the US. Vikram with over 15 years of global healthcare experience has helped hospitals, chain of clinics, healthcare distributors, and pharmaceutical clients on various strategic issues such as business development, growth strategy, portfolio rationalization, and M&A. He is actively involved with TiE Hyderabad and has been a speaker at many entrepreneurial and investment conferences. Vikram did his B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) - Kharagpur and a full time MBA from Chicago Booth. In his spare time, he enjoys advising startups, running marathons, and troubling his 2 year old daughter.
