Position Summary

Action For India, an NGO, based in Bangalore, India, is looking for a Human Resource Lead and Executive Assistant to President. This is a joint-position that will involve working closely with the President on various Human Resource processes, as well as undertaking tasks and responsibilities of an Executive Assistant.



As Human Resource Lead:


    • Recruitment: Take care of the entire recruitment cycle from preparing the job description, posting to joib sites, reference channels, and social media, pre-screening all applications for all vacancies, co-ordinating the interview process, conducting interviews, salary negotiation and performing reference checks when required.


    • Employee Relationship: Conducting induction and orientation programs for new recruits, facilitating communication and ensuring employee engagement.


    • Internship Management: Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of an internship program


As Executive Assistant to President:


    • Perform a broad variety of administrative tasks for the President including: managing a calendar of appointments, research tasks, prioritizing, and following up on incoming issues and concerns, documenting meeting minutes, and engaging with the team to ensure closures of open issues.


Required skills and experience


The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 3 years of relevant experience working with social enterprises, or non-profits, and must share a passion for working with an organization that helps improve social conditions in India.


This position will require a responsible and flexible personality that can work in a fast-changing environment. You must have:


    • A Master’s degree in HR/IR, Social media and communications, Social work, Political science or a related field


    • 3-5 years experience as executive assistant to people in senior management such as president , MD, CEO etc


    • A rich experience in recruiting mid-to-top management level positions, preferably in the social/non-profit sector


    • Experience in contract as well as full-time hiring


    • Proven track record of high level administration and secretarial support involving efficient handling of top and confidential correspondence.


    • Excellent  command of written and spoken English, with the ability to write clearly and succinctly


    • The ability to build and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders


    • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision


    • A passion for social development and willingness to travel across the country


    • Excellent computer skills



Position Type: This is a full-time position which is available immediately.

Compensation: Will be commensurate with experience
